The 300 Year Old Man

A Feature Screenplay | Writer | Currently in Development

A high school senior, Lyla, who’s recently been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, and her mother move into an old Toronto house with a landlord, Oswald, who looks 18 but claims to be 300 years old. Their home becomes in jeopardy when the city disputes Oswald’s ownership. To save their home, Lyla creates a documentary to prove that Oswald is indeed 300 years old.

As the two collaborate on the film—combining vlog-style footage, documentary interviews, and low-budget historical reenactments—they forge an unexpected friendship. Together, they navigate the complexities of their unique conditions, discovering the importance of community and what it truly means to live a full life.
